Scotts Flat Lake Rules and Regulations

Quiet Hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. This includes RV generators in park. Radios and other sound producing equipment may be operated from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. providing they are kept at a low volume so as to not be heard in nearby camps or picnic areas. Car radios may not be operated in the park if they can be heard outside the car. Persons violating this noise regulation are subject to eviction. Decision of management concerning acceptable noise level is final.

Behavior offensive to the public, including but not limited to drunkenness, use of narcotics, boisterous, loud, abusive, threatening or indecent conduct or speech is prohibited. Consumption of any alcoholic beverage by persons under 21 years of age is illegal and constitutes ground for eviction. No refunds will be given.

Entrance Gate closes for campers’ protection at 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and midnight on Friday and Saturday. The gate reopens at 6 a.m. during the Summer recreation season. Hours are reduced beginning in Fall through Spring.

Day Use Visitors may arrive at sunrise and must leave by dusk. Day Use Visitors are not permitted in the campground areas. No day use or picnics are permitted in the overnight campsites. Use the picnic or Marina Area.

Pets are permitted, must be leashed and attended at all times and are not allowed in swim or beach areas. Horses are not permitted in the Recreation Areas.

Fires are permitted only in park established concrete pits, bar-b-ques and your personal portable bar-b-que grill. Open fires in designated area only. Positively no open ground fires, or rock fire rings are permitted anywhere in the recreation area. No lanterns hanging in the trees or tiki torches are allowed. No fires, or camping on shorelines.

Do NOT remove picnic tables, fire rings or BBQ’s from campsites, picnic areas or store area.

Vehicle Travel and parking permitted only on established black top roadways and parking areas. Speed limit throughout the Recreation area is 10 mph.

Children are welcome under supervision and responsibility of an adult. All camping parties must have a responsible adult (18 or over) in attendance.

All boaters and boats must comply with state and county navigational laws. Boats must be launched at launching ramp only. No personal Watercraft. No camping on boats.

No Lifeguards on duty. Swimming is only allowed in the designated swim areas and at your own risk.

Hunting and Metal is prohibited throughout NID recreation areas. It is prohibited to discharge a firearm, pellet or BB guns, slingshots, paint ball guns, bow and arrows, etc. No Metal Detecting is allowed in the recreation areas. No fireworks allowed.

No cutting or removal of trees, plants or rocks, etc. It is illegal to destroy, damage or deface any of the buildings or equipment in the Recreation Areas. Violators may be cited and charged for damage.

Street Motorcycles are allowed in the park. No dirt bikes, mini-bikes, OHV vehicles, quads or golf carts are allowed in park.

All Visitors use the lake and the surrounding recreation area facilities at their own risk and liability. In granting permission to enter and use the area and facilities, the owners/management are not responsible  for injury, theft, loss or damage; and by entering the park, all visitors agree to hold the owners/management harmless from any claim, demand or liability.

Cancellations: No refunds within 14 days of arrival. No rain checks or inclement weather refunds. A change of date is also considered a cancellation.  There is a $25 cancellation fee per reservation and the reservation fee is non-refundable. No cancellations for holiday bookings.

All guests must comply with all federal, state and local laws. Management reserves the right to refuse service and revoke all privileges pertaining to entry, for misconduct or any violation of the rules within our campground facilities. Refunds will not be given if asked to leave the property for not following our regulations.

The above rules and regulations have been designed for your comfort and safety. Observing these rules will assist greatly toward making your stay and that of your fellow campers more enjoyable.
